This week was an interesting time to be honest. My first week of being in charge of the production for the portfolio show, and it’s hit or miss to be honest. Hit because it felt nice to be in charge and have people follow your orders. But a miss because a disaster happened.
Someone uploaded a file that wasnt meant to be printed, I uploaded the correct file but someone else uploaded that file. Which caused a lot of people to print the wrong file and took us a bit to catch on. Now we have many variants of the thing we wanted to be printed lovely. We might have to start over on that honestly. It’s a learning experience. But also some of the people I’m handling do not listen to me, and think they know better.
Now I know what it’s like to be a teacher and a parent. One thing is for sure, having delegates to help you is a good thing. It’s like I’m the boss and I have managers underneath me to handle other things. Decent start, will do better next week.
